Skills for a Changing Economy
The world of work is changing rapidly. Technology, automation, digital services, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and new business models are creating new opportunities while changing the skills employers and communities need. For young people in Zimbabwe and across Africa, vocational education can provide a practical pathway into this changing economy. Gopher Institute Foundation is focused on combining traditional technical skills with emerging areas such as ICT, Robotics, Renewable Energy, Digital Skills and Entrepreneurship. The objective is not simply to train students for jobs that exist today, but to help them develop adaptable, practical and entrepreneurial skills that can remain useful as industries evolve.
